Tickets to the first air show at Sanford’s airport in 25 years went on sale Friday morning, with organizers offering a 40% Veterans Day weekend discount for early birds.
Those who buy before 11:59 p.m. on Monday can buy general admission tickets for $24, photo pit tickets for $109 and VIP tickets for $159. The cost will increase until the days of the show, Oct. 31-Nov. 1, 2020.
Organizers also announced that Lockheed Martin would bring an anti-ballistic missile launcher and the C-5M Super Galaxy military transport aircraft. The six-aircraft GEICO Skytypers Air Show Team also will perform in World War II-era SNJ aircraft.
Lockheed Martin announced in August that it would bring some of its “front-line aviation aircraft,” but did not provide details. The company has contracts for work on several high-profile aircraft, including the F-35, F-22 and C-130.
