A group of Florida deputies and police officers were able to bring a teenager back from the edge Thursday after he was considering jumping off the top of a parking garage in DeLand, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
A 16-year-old boy was spotted at about 1 p.m. on top of the garage next to a courthouse in DeLand, VCSO said.
The boy was upset after attending a court hearing and was on the verge of jumping from the garage when he was approached by Volusia deputies, DeLand police officers and a case worker from the Florida Department of Children and Families.
